Hello, people. The album is almost done, done, done! We’re sending the tracks to Doug Van Sloun (Bright Eyes, Cursive, M.Ward…) for mastering on Nov. 19th. Also, lots of new stuff coming very soon.

The record is officially tracked and ready for mixing. It was a lot of fun working on it. Seems like the whole thing went by fairly quickly. We should be heading back on the road soon to get people ready for this thing. Look back for dates!

Yesterday morning I went out to get some milk for my bowl of cereal and I was greeted warmly by a young tabby. It was nice to be with a friend at that hour. Someone quietly eager to be doted on. By the time I returned from my errand though, she had meandered on to somewhere else. This morning, as I was eating breakfast in the main hall of the church, the same cat came wandering in! What a friendly suprise! I fixed her a small plate of milk from the play dishes in the nursery and we shared our breakfast together. One of the church ladies tellls me her name is Grace. On Sunday mornings, she can be found making rounds between worshipers, wanting just a small brush of attention from each. Personally, I’m quite alright with that. She has enough love for all of us. May Grace find you this morning and bring you sweet comfort.

Cici’s pizza is a brutal punishment to put your body through. But it feels so right. We just got back from plowing our faces full of cheap pizza for five dollars. I feel justified after biking everywhere all over the hills of Ocala. Today my legs finally started to say, “Enough, already.” That to is just one of those things that feel right though. We did some group vocals today and Bobby did extra percussion parts on a few of the songs. Tomorrow is the last day so we’ll be finishing up with going over all the tracks and making mixing notes as well as any last minute finishing touches. It has been so great seeing this record take shape. We are all eagerly awaiting to present it in full form.

Recorded Piano at a music store here in Ocala today. We used an old 1911 Grand Piano and it sounds awesome. Tomorrow we’ll add some more finishing touches and than it’s off to mixing! Very happy with how this record is turning out, very loud, very noisy and very us.

Easy Mac and yogurt. Good dinner? Balanced diet? I’m not sure. But it’s sure something. It sure is…something.

I’ve been listening to Fear Before’s first two albums. They are emmense. It makes me want to just jump up and down and throw things.

Recording is going GREAT!

 Will did vocals today and yesterday. We got to do some other fun things for the record today that I can’t say much about right now. You’ll just have to hear it. It wouldn’t make much sense explaining either. Ocala is a fun place to bike ride. Chelsea’s Coffee is the best. Also, I like hot dogs.

all the drums are done! we recorded them in a different studio not too far from andrew’s. it has a much bigger room than the one we used before. tomorrow we get started on guitar and bass!

Pre-production for the album is finished. We go into the studio 1st thing wednesday morning and we should be wrapping things up by the end of the month. Hope everyone’s having a fun summer!
